We have taken out all kinds of people of various nationalities from around the world on our kayaking day trips and thanks to Deon and Kathy Arangies of Kabwe, Zambia who took our Rainforest Kayaking Adventure trip on Saturday, 15 August 2009; we can now proudly say that we have taken out people on our trips from Australia to Zambia!

Joining Deon and Kathy were Italian couples Guido & Bruna and Virginia and Marco who all had a great time out on the beautiful waters of Sungai Sarawak Kiri @ Borneo Highlands.

Darrin, Marion, Noah & Sadie living in Sydney were in Kuching on holidays and booked our rainforest kayaking & orang utan adventure trip prior to coming here.

The trip made their holidays and they had a beautiful day with perfect weather and amazing scenery.

How Are Rivers Formed?

How are rivers formed must be one of the thoughts that crossed the mind of the participants on our rainforests kayaking adventure trip.

Floating down a meandering river with lush tropical vegetation on both banks through the jungles of Borneo is an unforgettable experience and on the 3 hours plus kayaking trip there’s ample time to reflect on this – how are rivers formed and other questions about nature.

We can start to answer how are rivers formed by defining what is a river? A river is a natural stream of fresh water larger than a brook or creek. A river flows toward another river, an ocean, a lake; in other words other larger body of water. And our kayaking trip the source is rainfall. Streams that flow at a river source are the headwaters and are at the river’s highest elevation. Most river headwaters begin in hills or mountain, but as the river flows downstream, it gains more water from other streams, rivers, springs, added rainfall, and other water sources.

No matter how rivers are formed, it would formed a lasting impression in your minds as we float down the river and discover the many wonderful sights and sounds of the jungle on your holiday adventure in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

Borneo Adventure really know how to spoil their guests.

They even go to the extent of organising a BBQ lunch at Kg Danu where we normally stop to stretch our legs and make sure that everyone’s paired up properly before we carry on with the rest of our trip.
